Nintendo to offer original downloadable games next year

Nintendo will offer up original games for download starting in 2008 according to Nikkei.
The publication reports that Nintendo will offer games prices at no more than 1,000 Yen a piece to Wii owners.
The initial launch will focus on puzzle and educational games, and there might be plans for new iterations of classic titles in the future.
With the move, Nintendo will try to counter Microsoft and Sony who both offer original games through their Live and Playstation Network services.
