The Wii platform has become the place where great 3rd party games from other consoles go to die. Granted that is a pretty broad statement but any gamer will tell you that the Nintendo Wii is technologically challenged when it comes to software. Honestly after two years of seeing nothing but crap-ware come out for the Wii, I have stopped looking. Tired of all the promising looking titles that once they are released simply look and play like crap.
For example I was just reading the news that EA is bringing Dead Space which was released on the PC, PS3 and 360. All versions of course were awesome to play and if you have not played Dead Space and your an action horror fan than you are missing a great game. I repeat this is a great game and for action horror fans it is a must play game. With that said when I heard the rumors that EA was tinkering with the idea of bringing this title to the Wii I was disappointed at best.
Honestly the Wii just doesn’t have the power to pull off a game like Dead Space. Well it looks like EA would agree with that assumption as they are bringing an all new prequel to Dead Space. Ok that sounds good that could have some promise to it but wait this release will be for the Wii remember so there had to be a catch. Here is the catch the game will be an on rails light gun game 
Really another game on the rails? Oh joy…. Sorry but after enjoying the freedom of game play in Dead Space the thought of putting me on rails so I can just point and shoot feel like a giant step backwards to me. I could be proven wrong of course the Umbrella Chronicles for the RE series was a pretty good game on it’s own. So I guess we can hold onto a glimmer of hope that EA will give the game some juice. Based on past history with most games for the Wii though I would still have to keep this game in the skeptical pile for now.

EA Bringing Dead Space To Wii To Die…
We are getting into the third year for the Nintendo Wii now. Just curious how much longer you think it will keep selling big considering all the crapware that has come with it….
